2003 Jaguar XJ-Series - Jaguars flagship sedan, the XJ-Series, returns for 2003 with only minor changes. It is again available in five models, ranging from the base XJ8 to the long wheelbase Super V8. The standard engine is a 290-hp V8, although the XJR and Super V8 models receive a supercharged version that produces 370-hp. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard epuipment. All XJ sedans are equipped with luxury amenities such as power leather seats, walnut trim, automatic climate control, and a six-disc CD changer. The XJR and Super V8 also feature heated seats and a DVD-based vehicle navigation system. The XJR model is available with a perfomance package that includes 18-inch BBS modular wheels and a Brembro braking system.
